Evidence

The Property & Evidence function of the Salem Police Department is currently managed by one officer. This officer is responsible for the custody and control for thousands of pieces of evidence and recovered property. This officer works closely with our prosecutors to help prepare cases for court. The Property & Evidence officer accompanies detectives on search warrants and crime scene investigations. This officer is trained in crime scene response and processing and works closely with the NH State Police Forensics Laboratory.

The release of evidence/property is Monday-Friday by appointment only.  Walk-ins will not be accepted.
